Lil' Eagles Program

The youth program services approximately sixty children from the ages of 6 to 12 years of age in our community. The majority come from low-income families, foster families, and families on social assistance. The four components addressed in the program are: social, cultural, educational, and recreational.

What is Lil' Eagles?

The United Native Friendship Centre (U.N.F.C.) Lil' Eagles Program is for youth ages 6-12 years. The program offers cultural, educational, social, and recreational daily activities. The children are encouraged to participate in activities and programming which will assist them in healthier lifestyles, relationships, and positive choices.

The program runs Monday to Friday, 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with occasional weekend programming. The UNFC van will pick up the children at their homes. When programming is completed, they are dropped off at the destination they were picked up. A telephone call will be placed to the parents or guardian to receive permission for the youth to attend each day's activities.
